SMYI SERVICES COMPANY LIMITED (hereinafter referred to as SMYI), a partner company of Thiri Zawtika Co. Ltd., (“TZ”) has entered into a business transfer agreement with LEOPALACE21 Myanmar Branch (hereinafter referred to as "Leopalace") in which SMYI will acquire Leopalace's real estate business in Myanmar effective on May 1, 2022 as the business transfer date.
SMYI is engaged in system development and financial consulting services for TZ, and two Japanese staffs are stationed in the company.
By this business transfer agreement, SMYI will take over the serviced office business, real estate agency business, and serviced apartment management business that Leopalace was engaged in at Prime Hill Business Square in Dagon Township, Yangon together with its employees.

This name reflects our desire to provide a safe and comfortable office space for Japanese and foreign companies that are considering expanding their business into Myanmar even under the current tense situation. In addition, we will provide the serviced office customers with a variety of services by utilizing the various business know-how we have cultivated in Myanmar. We will also provide a better living environment for expatriates through real estate agency business and management of serviced apartments”.
Thiri Zawtika Co., Ltd. signed MOU with MarCoPay Inc. which is a Joint Venture between Nippon Yusen and Transnational Philippines. MarCoPay is providing digital money service to Filipino seafarers all over the world and the purpose of this MOU is to jointly develop a digital system to provide loans to Burmese seafarers working around the world.
With the spread of COVID19 infection as a backdrop Thiri Zawtika Co., Ltd. has developed a unique digital system that allows SMART Credit customers to apply for loans, upload documents, be interviewed by video call, digitally sign the contract after approval, and execute the loan via mobile phone totally without face-to-face contact. This system has been in operation since April 2020.

Thiri Zawtika Co., Ltd. is a non-bank financial institution established in April 2015, The company was licensed by the Central Bank of Myanmar (“CBM”) in August 2017, and started operations in October 2017. Thiri Zawtika obtained a finance business license from the Central Bank of Myanmar in 2017, and has been providing unprecedented financial services in Myanmar by commercializing leasing, which is used in Japan, for corporate clients, and by commercializing card loans, which is a convenient function in Japan, as Smart Credit for individual clients. In 2020, while the new coronavirus infection prevented face-to-face contracting, we were able to introduce a non-face-to-face contracting system using mobile phones.
